Knowing that Super Street Fighter IV is coming (and we'll probably do a for-money tournament for it), is this something anyone else would be interested in? I don't mind talking some meat n' potatoes SF (or fighting games in general) skills with people, and I'm sure some of the other guys (COMBO, Akulious, etc.) wouldn't mind sharing their pointers or spending some time giving people tips on match-ups.

Anyway, if people are interested (in either playing or talking shop), let me know. We can probably get this rolling before Super comes out on April 27th.

Speaking of April 27th... that's my birthday, and Kai-El's as well. I've already arranged to have the next day off so I could play Super all night (I'm a sad little man when it comes to my fighting games). If anyone else is interested in coming out for my birthday, it sounds like some of the people mentioned above are going to hang out already. We might get some good winner-stays action rolling. I have a two larger TVs and two 20'inch widescreens, two xbox 360s and a PS3 that could be used to run nothing buy Super SFIV all night. That being said, I can only fit so many people at my apartment, so it's a first come first serve with people I know more having some preference.

Let me know if anyone is interested in either thing.

Lastly, it's probably worth mentioning that I will no longer have access to a large number of monitors and TVs to use for large-scale tournaments. Things like the FPS event will probably be a no-go from me for a while until I can find a steady source of equipment to use. I will probably be focusing my time more on the fighting game events, promotions, and releases for the remainder of my admin days here. If anyone else wants to get some side events going and use this site as a promotion for it, I can add them as a writer (subject to some proof-reading). Sorry for that... things are just too busy for me to do anything except what I love to do. Galaxy LAN is likely expanding in the near future and will have the kind of gear we would need to do larger events... so I imagine they'll take over for some of those with a little help from the community. No word on that though at this time.

</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://www.soofoogamers.com/news/2010/2/27/friday-night-fights-round-8-summary.html"><rss:title>Friday Night Fights, Round 8 Summary</rss:title><rss:link>http://www.soofoogamers.com/news/2010/2/27/friday-night-fights-round-8-summary.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject>Friday Night Fights fighting.games soofoogamers.event summary</dc:subject>

So, in case anyone is keeping track, we had 39 people register for ranked matches at the last Friday Night Fights event making this one of our most successful events to date.
